3rd Eye Vision is introducing the New Media Art Lounge projects that will in effect show case, exhibit, collaborate and make interventions with new media artists, collectives and galleries.
3rd Eye Vision is featuring video art by Thando Mama, Gabi Ngcobo and Khwezi Gule at blank projects - 198 Buitengracht Street, Cape Town. It is the first project and a launch of the collectives New Media art Lounge-Video Projects in Cape Town. 3rd Eye Vision will rotate projects in alternative and at some galleries for future screenings and installations. Concentrating in new media/ digital and video art and will also feature Southern African, African and international emerging artists.
Included in the exhibition is 'Growth' by Gabi Ngcobo, which was shown as part of her solo exhibition at Art Space Durban; Homecoming and "Mind-space" by Thando Mama, shown at Kunskhalle basilland, Switzerland as part of a group exhibition “Min(d)efields” and “ “ by Khwezi Gule, a solo contribution for the Young Artist Project at the N.S.A Gallery in Durban. The Collective is presently based in Cape Town.
