Adrienne van Eeden’s Twice Daily After Meals juxtaposes the comfort provided by seemingly trivial daily routines with the often banal and futile nature thereof. The labour-intensive objects in this exhibition rely on the repetition of virtually identical units to suggest attempts at perfection and control.

Artist’s Biography

Van Eeden completed her MA in Fine Arts cum laude at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005 and works in a variety of media, including photography, video and sculpture.
